The Process

Custom portraits are typically ready to ship in 2-3 weeks, if not sooner.

I use acrylic paint for all my work.

Rectangular portraits are painted on 7 oz. 100% natural cotton duck canvas, hand-stretched over a 3/4" deep solid wood frame.

Oval portraits are painted on 10 oz. heavy cotton canvas, stretched over a 3/4" deep solid MDF frame.

No, I do not accept revision requests. I collect as much information up-front as possible and will always contact you if any requests seem unclear, but I cannot change the painting once it's complete.

No, all orders are unframed. You can bring your canvas to a local framer if you'd like!

No. Even if you order in bulk, each portrait still requires the same amount of time, materials, and cost. I price my work very intentionally and mindfully.

Custom Requests

We can work something out! Fill out my contact form with the size(s) you're interested in. I'll respond with more details around cost, turnaround time, shipping, etc.

I can always custom mix colors. Feel free to either fill out my contact form or leave special instructions for your order in the cart with your custom request. I will reach out to you to confirm I got your request and we'll collaborate to make sure you're happy with the color before I start.

I prefer painting individual pets, but you're welcome to reach out if you want to discuss this.

This is a non-standard request and will require an additional charge than the options shown on the site. Pricing will depend on both the size and total number of pets. These are handled on a case-by-case basis; I may or may not accept this request.

At this point, I'm only interested in painting with acrylics on canvas.

Your Order

No, I do not accept returns.

You can cancel your order for a refund up to 12 hours once the order is placed. Beyond that, I do not offer refunds.

If you're unsatisfied with your order, please contact me directly. While I can't offer refunds, I'm a reasonable gal and I'm happy to talk through other options.

If you're in the Chicagoland area, please leave a note on your order if you'd like to drop by in-person to pick up your portrait.

Paintings are wrapped in a layer of brown paper and encased in bubble wrap to protect the canvas from moisture and movement in-transit.

Custom orders ship within 2-3 weeks. Carrier times depend on the shipping method you select at checkout. You'll receive an email as soon as your order ships with tracking information.

Once I drop your order off with the carrier, I do not have control over it. Please contact the carrier or your local post office if there is an issue after your order is "In Transit" — I will need you to take this step before reaching out to me.
